These are the last two days to see exhibitions from the Main Program and … to move around a bit.

The largest part of this year’s Fotofestiwal is coming to an end, so it is the last chance to get in acquainted with unusual, bold and original collections that make up the core of this year’s Main Program. We invite you today and tomorrow from 12.00 to 21.00 (technical break between 15.00 and 16.00) to Art_Inkubator at Tymienieckiego 3, where you can see the exhibition A Self-portrait of the 20th century from the Jean-Marie Donat collection, The Past is Yours! from the Fortepan Collection i ooo’s & ii’s prepared for us by W.M. Hunt. You can view the already closed Open Program exhibitions online – like all the others – until October. They are available in the Exhibitions tab on our website.

It is also the last two days to watch two films by Magda Hueckel and Tomasz Śliwiński (also with English subtitles!). Our Curse is a moving, very personal documentary about the birth of the filmmakers’ child and the disease they have to face. The document (nominated for an Oscar in 2015) can be viewed until Sunday for free on the website 👉 Ninateka.pl. On the 👉 Mojeekino.pl platform, in turn, the creators of the latest film – a story with Bartosz Bielenia (known from the film Corpus Christi), who plays the role of a sick person entering adulthood – suffering from the so-called Ondine’s Curse; when the patient falls asleep, the body stops breathing. We highly recommend this screening, as the fee of PLN 5 for a donation ticket is also a contribution to a charity – producing a medicine for this very rare, still incurable disease.

We wouldn’t be ourselves if we didn’t say goodbye to you with a bang. On Saturday evening we see you in Kipisz at slide shows to the sounds of the well-known Łódź dance initiative: 👉 Jazztko. On Sunday, in the same place to start the bones, grill and … Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament with prizes specially selected from our photo-festival archives.

Remember, however, that this is not the end – you can view the exhibitions that we presented in August in a virtual version on our website throughout the month. And on October 2, we are opening the closing exhibition of the Main Program: The Burning House from the Antoine de Galbert’s collection at ms1 in Łódź and accompanying exhibitions prepared by the University of Łódź in partnership with the Academy of Fine Arts and the Film School – in the building with Motyl at 21 Sienkiewicza Street.

See you soon!
