>> 20.06, 11:00PM at Willa: By the end of the night and if there is still energy after these long days, we invite you to the afterparty—or better said — FOTOFESTIWAL BIRTHDAY PARTY. _ 22-28.06: Second week of the festival

After the vernissage rush of the first days, we are slowing down, for a moment of reflection about the realities of different photographic communities. A great panel of meetings is scheduled for this week:

>> Can we trust what we see in the media?

We start on Tuesday 23 with “Can we trust what we see in the media?“, a discussion that explores misinformation, image manipulation, and the role of media in the modern world. Organized by the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center as an accompanying event of Fotofestiwal, the panel will bring together Justyna Dżbik-Kluge, Wojciech Grzędzińsk, Filip Ćwik, and Maciek Nabrdalik.

>> An Evening with Bogdan Dziworski: “f/5.6” Exhibition Opening, Artist Talk, and Film Screenings

Continuing on Thursday 25, Fotofestiwal will feature the exhibition “f/5.6” by Bogdan Dziworski. This opening reception led by the artist, will be followed by a talk on photography and film screenings hosted by Dr. Michał Dondzik, on Kino Charlie.

>> Through Each Other’s Eyes: A Taiwan–Poland Dialogue on Democracy and Culture

On Saturday 27, this talk begins with the ways Taiwan and Poland view one another, opening a conversation on how culture is gradually shaped by history, lived experience, and memory, while also considering whether different societies may share certain feelings and aspirations. Conducted by Maciej Gaca and Wei-Yun Lin, this is one engaging exchnage that will take place at the Biedermann’s Palace.

.

Of course, that’s not all, as there will still be film screenings in both festival centers: Art_inkubator and Biedermann’s Palace (including the heartwarming 2026 Polish documentary Please Do Not Sit, that follows the legendary photographer Wojciech Plewiński on a nostalgic journey across Poland to prepare an exhibition of his life’s work), specially designed guided tour for teens and school groups, as well as workshops.

And more music events! Bird Disco promises to an entertaining, participatory and communal experience based on the powerful theme of the loss of biodiversity and the unequal interaction of humans with the ecosystem as a whole, and the closing ceremony of Fotofestiwal — joining forces with Ravekjavik festival, for a chilling afternoon at the Biedermann’s Palace, carried away by the sound of TUNGLLEYSA, Ruxpin and Marta Forsberg.

A special highlight of this week is the red carpet night in Kino Utopia. Join us at the historical swimming pool of YMCA for a night filled with Taiwanese Art Film Screenings and a hybrid dj set by ( ether o ) Chia-Liang Lai. We promise you don’t want to miss it!
