When Polish people look at Taiwan, what do they see? When Taiwanese people speak of Poland, what impressions and connections come to mind?

This talk begins with the ways Taiwan and Poland view one another, opening a conversation on how culture is gradually shaped by history, lived experience, and memory, while also considering whether different societies may share certain feelings and aspirations.

The two speakers will share important experiences from the modern histories of Taiwan and Poland, moving from culture and democratic memory to museums and public spaces. Although the two places are far apart, the talk invites audiences to discover possible resonances between them in their journeys through freedom, dignity, and social transformation.
