The final weekend of Fotofestiwal
We have an incredible lineup waiting for you for the final weekend of Fotofestiwal: public presentations, artist meetings, workshops, a delicious brunch, live concerts, and a very special Bird Disco! Join us for a tropical weekend in Łódź—there is so much in store! See you there!
11:00 AM | Wild Felines with Stefan Jakimiuk We kick off the morning with WWF expert Stefan Jakimiuk for a fascinating discussion on the lynx—the largest wild feline in the region.
12:30 PM | Belarusian Artist Presentations Meet ten talented Belarusian artists selected through our open call. This is a unique opportunity to discover their latest projects as they share insights into their creative practices, research processes, and the deeper contexts behind their imagery.
3:00 PM | Cultural Reflections: Taiwan & Poland Join Maciej Gaca and Wei-Yun Lin for an insightful discussion on how Taiwan and Poland view one another. Together, we will explore how history, lived experience, and memory gradually shape culture, and whether two different societies can share the same aspirations.
4:00 PM | From Dumplings to Pierogi: A Workshop Right after the talk, join us to cook and share Taiwanese dumplings! We will explore how food serves as a vessel for memory—from the dining table to literature, and from taste to conversation.
5:30 PM | Wildlife Photography with Robert Dróżdż Our afternoon continues with a meeting featuring Robert Dróżdż, a leading national expert on filming and photographing wildlife in Poland.
7:00 PM | The Bird Disco To conclude our day at the Palace, we invite families to the grass stage for the Bird Disco! This participatory, communal performance features dancing to music crafted entirely from bird sounds. While highly entertaining, the experience carries a powerful message about the loss of biodiversity and our relationship with the ecosystem.
