Stefan Jakimiuk is a species conservation expert who has been with the WWF Poland Foundation for over 25 years. He specializes in protecting large carnivores—such as lynx, wolves, and bears—and reducing human-wildlife conflict. Currently, he focuses on monitoring and reintroducing lynx. In the past, he managed efforts to preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Biebrza Valley, as well as conservation projects for the Białowieża Primeval Forest.
