We announce the program of events!
You can finally fill up your hourly calendar or look at our schedule and find that the excuse not to go to Lodz is gone again this year. We announce the program of events of Fotofestiwal – the 24th International Festival of Photography in Lodz.
To start – an almost novelty. Tomorrow (3.06) is the opening of a sister brand of cultural events in Lodz – 2nd edition of SpinOFF.
More than twenty openings over the next twenty days, a total of twenty-five moments, which count with names such as: Jan Brykczynski, Tomek Albin, Magdalena Skotnicka, Jakub Nowaczyk, Olga Urbanek, Wojciech Bryndel, Mateusz Pecyna, Kalina Kazimierczak, Piotr Matkowski and Ewa Sad; and, among the curators, Katarzyna Sagatowska. On the map of events and non-traditional venues, for example, an exhibition at the intersection of art, photography and street art – will take over the concrete fence of the amphitheater in Baden-Powell Park; an experience in Park Źródliska that will combine a review of travel photography with a picnic and tasting and a big finale with a performative show in the unusual space of the abandoned YMCA swimming pool. We will see you tomorrow at the opening at MSK: Chojny. See the full program at: SPINOFF.

A final note on the evening hosted by the University of Lodz at the Biedermann Palace on June 18, which will combine 2 group exhibitions – Works of Photosophy: Sampler and Community’s Histories (1945-2025) and end with the film screening of “Kotarbiński“. An animated story of Tadeusz Kotarbiński, first rector of the University of Lodz, that uses archival film and photographic materials to create an unconventional, moving portrait of a thinker whose worldview combined rigorous logic with deep humanism.
