“The Blue Flower in the Land of Technology”. On Co-Creation with Artificial Intelligence Systems.

A discussion  during Fotofestiwal in Lodz hosted the Future Fragments project.

The starting point for the discussion will be the interdisciplinary project Dream of the Machine by the artist-designer duo Noviki and Post-Radio by the director, film producer, and AI researcher and creator Jacek Nagłowski, which was inspired by Wojciech Bruszewski’s Radio Ruins of Art.

The discussion will feature Ada Florentyna Pawlak, an anthropologist of technology, lawyer, and art historian, and Krzysztof Pijarski – visual artist, contemporary culture researcher, and co-founder of the Visual Narratives Laboratory at the Łódź Film School, currently a lecturer at SWPS University.

__________

Future Fragments is an initiative dedicated to exploring the concept of intelligence and the impact of technology on our future. Intelligence is no longer seen as a fixed attribute of individuals, but as an emergent, relational phenomenon—unfolding through interactions among organisms, systems, and environments. As intelligence continues to evolve, both in human and nonhuman forms, so too must our understanding of its essence and influence. Like rhizomes—underground networks that interconnect, influence, and are in constant exchange with each other—Future Fragments symbolizes intelligence as a network and fosters a decentralized, evolving exchange and proliferation of ideas. In forms of lectures, screenings, exhibitions or publications, these presented ideas spread, connect and adapt, contributing to a  broader assemblage. Future Fragments aims to become more than an initiative; a cultural space for reflection and discussion, where global voices from interdisciplinary backgrounds and through different mediums converge to contribute to the dynamic, ever-growing discourse on artificial intelligence and technology.
