Reshuffling, Jacek Laube

The exhibition is located in two places: 1 Włókiennicza St. & 27/29 Kilińskiego St.

“Reshuffling” is an exhibition curated by Jacek Laube, grandson of the recently deceased Alicja Naruszewicz-Petrenko – grandmother, artist and long-time tenant of the apartment 5 at 27/29 Kilińskiego Street.

Over the years in the apartment the arrangement of furniture changes, new objects appear, a tattered armchair is covered with a bedspread, paintings roam the walls and the couch sinks into the floor. Over the years, people tackle different things, discover new passions, and change their lives.

“Reshuffling” inspired by the work of Harald Szeemann, takes viewers into the private space of an apartment, encouraging them to contemplate their own dreams, aspirations and legacies. 

It is an exhibition that combines themes of loss, memory, emptiness and the personal story of Alicja Naruszewicz-Petrenko – an artist like us.
