The phenomenon of inclusion, which is usually discussed in the context of political science, mathematics or mineralogy, also has a significant resonance in our current social reality, especially regarding interpersonal, human relations. The exhibition constitutes a visual narration about a broader reflection on the process of assimilating a new element into a preceding structure. This type of transformation can be evaluated positively, as it often results in a new and original quality. On the other hand, the emergence of an unusual component in the existing environment results in undermining the status quo. In consequence, it may be associated with difficulties, anxiety and complications.
Therefore, we would like to ask: how do we accept changes? Are they an integral part of our way of functioning? Is it easy for us to incorporate the change and open ourselves to an alternative way of perceiving? Artists studying at the Film School in Łódź construct answers to these questions and analyze these phenomena through the prism of the photographic medium, using a wide range of means of artistic expression. In consequence, they show the richness and heterogeneity of the field of photography.
