EUPHORIAS | the 2nd Artistic Schools Review

As part of the Artistic Schools Review, a competition of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, young artists from all Polish universities of fine arts are welcome to collaborate. The event is held as part of Fotofestiwal – the International Festival of Photography in Łódź.

The initiative came into being in 2022 as a follow-up to a once cyclical exhibition, the Photographic Factory – International Schools Review, organised by Fotofestiwal between 2003 and 2011. It bore fruit in the form of the infinite set exhibition, hosted at the Academic Design Centre, a competition whose winning project, selected through an online audience survey, was presented with the Award of the Rector of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.

For the next edition of Fotofestiwal, we hope to continue building a platform of exchange where works of students and academic teachers from Polish universities can be shared. The exhibition of the 2nd Artistic Schools Review is to be entitled EUPHORIAS.

Two awards are going to be granted: the International Jury shall confer the Award of the Rector of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, and the guests of the exhibition and Internet users will choose the winner of the Audience Award in an online vote.
