Opening of Odesa Photo Days, Month of Photography in Minsk & evening in the Biedermann’s Factory
Yesterday the Fotofestiwal kicked off at Art_Inkubator, Friday sees the opening of the second festival center OFF Piotrkowska, exhibitions by Chris Niedenthal, Grzegorz Przyborek and Zbigniew Libera, and in the evening the premiere location of Fotofestiwal – slideshows and a party at the Biedermann Factory.
All day long, we invite you to visit eight exhibitions at Art_Inkubator on Tymienieckiego 3. Here, between 10 am and 2 pm, there will also be public presentations by 50 experts and artists participating in the Totally Different Portfolio Review.
At 5 p.m. at Muzeum Miasta Łódź we open a cross-sectional exhibition of photographs by prominent photographer Chris Niedenthal, summarizing his 50 years as a photojournalist. The Museum of the City of Lodz will present the next installment of the exhibition, which showcased more than 200 photos selected by Anna Brzezinska and Katarzyna Puchalska from the author’s archive of hundreds of thousands of photos in 2022 at the History Meeting House in Warsaw.
0 18:00 we move to Ośrodek Propagandy Sztuki, where we will present the exhibition “Silence”. – a comprehensive presentation of the artistic output of Grzegorz Przyborek, who has been associated with Lodz for years.The exhibition “Silence” („Cisza”) is a comprehensive presentation of Grzegorz Przyborek’s artistic oeuvre, a praise of mindfulness and focus on the present moment.In addition to photographs from the most important series from the author’s nearly 50 years of creative work, we present selected drawings, prints, objects constructed for the camera frame, as well as independent installations.
Once again, we are honored to host two festivals that, for political reasons, are still not allowed to take place in their respective countries. We are providing space to present the work of, among others: Belarusian and Ukrainian male and female artists. Odesa Photo Days and Month of Photography in Minsk will invite at 7pm to OFF Piotrkowska, our second festival center.
“Sometimes you write a novel and sometimes you create a collection of short stories” – that’s how one of the biggest names of Polish critic art, Zbigniew Libera describes his exhibition. Achaeans, Boys, Polish Gold and Situationists – premiering new works – at Galeria Wschodnia will open at 9 p.m.
At 10 p.m. feel invited to a new location on the clubbing and cultural map of Łódź. Let’s see the exhibitions, listen to good music and dance. In short, let us enjoy just another extraordinary Fotofestiwal night:
