Auction “Dismantling”. Works by Volker Hinz

Surprise at the end of the Fotofestival – works on banners from the exhibition Area: Art on the dance floor. Warhol, Basquiat and S-ka in the lens of Volker Hinz go under the hammer.

The exhibition depicting the life of the unique Area club, which was established in the 1980s in lower Manhattan, is one of the highlights of this year’s festival. In accordance with the wishes of the owner of the photos, Henrietta Hinz, the works printed on the banners – which have already toured a couple of European cities with the exhibition – will be put up for sale, with proceeds from the sale supporting the statutory activities of the Foundation for Visual Education. Get your interiors ready for some of this year’s boldest and most colorful frames.

The auction will take place on June 25 at 5pm in the exhibition space at Art_Inkubator on Tymienieckiego 3. The asking price for each banner is 1000 pln. Seven works measuring 175 x 293 cm and four banners measuring 3×4.5m will be for sale.
