RE-VIVAL’22 is a complex artistic project by Ewa Bloom Kwiatkowska, including a presentation of paintings, works on paper, photographs, videos, multimedia projections. An important aspect of it will be reading selected excerpts from the book by Wojciech Bruszewski, one of the pioneers of Polish video art, sound art and the use of new computer technologies in art, the co-founder and one of the main pillars of the Film Form Workshop based in Lodz.

The author of the exhibition is an outstanding artist with a huge body of work, very expressive formulated poetics of her achievements. In her artwork Ewa Bloom Kwiatkowska addresses a number of issues concerning both the meanders of the human psyche and the various deviations of socio-political and cultural life, particularly in the context of the reign of totalitarian ideologies. Her works also convey important messages reflecting the essence of contemporary discussions about art, especially the role of the media in shaping our reception habits, knowledge about the world and as a source of various manipulations influencing our perception of reality. In addition to her visual works, the artist also includes her own texts, which are a kind of “frame” for visual expression. She wants to activate visual sensitivity and evoke intellectual emotions in the viewer. The title of the project refers to important for the artist themes of absence, disappearance and finding oneself, a particular rebirth in a new form.

Ewa Bloom Kwiatkowska is a graduate of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz, lecturer at art schools in Lodz: the Academy of Fine Arts and the National Film, Television and Theatre School.
