In a reality where the production and the dissemination of images often serve hidden agendas, The happy death of images presents several artists that lead and form temporary communities of critical spectators and makers, around and inside ephemeral images. This exhibition brings you several works by international artists, that are focused in the celebration of doing, looking and capturing single images together. All works have in common the use of the ends and beginnings of photography – in its liminality and ever changing potential of gazing at the world. Can a collective action be an image? Is an image ever still? Why do we need so many images? Do we need strong images to be solidary with each other?
