Artistic projects in Łódź lose their pace with gusto. After the Construction in Process, mostly destructs are left, nowhere one can see the collection of works or the archive of Łódź artists… So nothing works out in Łódź? In the Dodgy End … Added Value project, the artists from Frakcja all-women artists group pose a question about the relationship between the artistic tradition of Łódź and the present day and its current creative environment. They ask how today’s Łódź creators deal with the undebatable and at the same time mythologized avant-garde tradition of Łódź. The Frakcja works in the urban fabric, combining it with a critical look at the photographic medium. The artists redefine the concept of the negative and refer to the issue of researching / creating subjective archives in the context of the city’s artistic past and present.
