Mundane collectibles
This object which perhaps should be long gone, as it has lost its functionality, but you still can’t let it go for reasons (seemingly) unknown. This item about which you can’t decide if bad or good memories dominate its significance. This makeshift X which does not bear much practical sense, but boldly occupies the space. Or maybe a part of an emotionally valuable, coherent collection?
Whichever object you decide to submit to the library of Mundane Collectibles will be taken great care of while its soul will be extruded into the digital realm via 3D scanning. The collection of the objects’ digital representations will be placed around the dreamy Artbook Museum’s garden arbor in AR (augmented reality), ready to view during the last weekend of the festival.
Let’s build this temporary library of artifacts together. Objects’ reception will be open on Wednesday the 15th of June between 8 and 10 PM. If you decide to contribute, please first attach a single image of the object + a short description of/impression on what your relationship with the object is like to: mundanecollectibles@fotofestiwal.com and then get ready to bring the object with you on Wednesday the 15th.
This event is a part of The Happy Death of Images exhibition.
