Polish Paradise is an informal union of three polish photography festivals: Kraków Photomonth, Łódź Fotofestiwal and TIFF Festival from Wrocław. We joined our forces almost a year ago to promote Polish photography abroad, especially Polish emerging artists that are not yet known to the international public. We have institutional background but the idea to work together as Polish Paradise came from our personal motivation to engage the artists whose works we love and introduce them to a wider audience.
We share the belief that being organizers, coordinators or directors of photography events does not make us special. What does make us special is belonging to the big family of Polish artists, curators, organizers and working together arm in arm on making Polish photography more recognizable outside Poland. So far, we have visited Arles, Tbilisi and Paris with our photobooks, artist talks, presentations and slideshows.
The team behind the Polish Paradise is: Aga Dwernicka and Joanna Gorlach (Krakow Photomonth), Maciej Bujko and Paweł Kowalski (TIFF Festival), Krzysztof Candrowicz and Agata Zubrzycka (Fotofestiwal) and Franek Ammer (working both for Fotofestiwal and TIFF Festival – how cool is that!?)
