From a Taiwanese perspective to Greek discoveries: the photographic journey continues in Łódź, this time taking the form of a photobook
The 2026 Photobook Program has arrived!
Featuring fresh collaborative exhibitions, the city’s favorite “photobook breakfast,” and the prestigious Photographic Publication of the Year award, this year’s lineup offers a global tour of the publishing world. We’re turning a special spotlight on Taiwan and Greece: explore a multi-generational study of Taiwanese identity through the lens of artists like Yao Jui-Chung, Yang Teng-Chi, and Tsai Sheng-Da, or discover the shifting currents of the modern Greek scene. Join us in Łódź in less than a month.
EXHIBITIONS
_ Island Compound Eyes: Multiple Images of Taiwan using imagery as a gateway to Taiwan, this exhibition offers a multifaceted portrait of the island through the lenses of several generations. By weaving together local reflections on land and memory with sharp, contemporary responses from a new wave of artists, the collection invites Polish audiences to turn the pages and discover a Taiwan that is fluid, complex, and vibrantly alive. More information on the exhibition here.
_ Dummy Award 2026 as one of the Western world’s most esteemed photobook awards, this international competition celebrates the year’s best unpublished mock-ups. Central to the award is a global touring exhibition that showcases the winning works. To date, hundreds of shortlisted books have traveled the world, appearing at premier photography festivals and international venues across the globe. More information on the exhibition here.
_ The Greek Photobook Scene, highlighting the vibrancy of Greece’s modern photographic scene, this collection showcases a wide spectrum of publishing initiatives. By exploring the divergences in rhythm, materiality, and scale—from independent DIY editions to major editorial undertakings—the exhibition maps the ever-changing landscape of the Greek photobook in the present day. More information on the exhibition here.
_ Photometria Photobooks is an exhibition presented in the framework of the Photometria International Festival 2025 that brings together a selection of recent publications by Greek and international artists. More information on the exhibition here.
