Agata Stoinska trained as an architect before commencing a career in photography in 2003. In 2009 she launched D-Light Studios in Dublin. D-Light is a large multimedia space that would accommodate the photography, fashion, television and arts industries. In the summer of 2010 she launched the international photo magazine BLOW. This large format image-based publication features both emerging and established photographers from around the world. BLOW was awarded the Overall Print of the Year Award 2010 at the Irish Print Awards. It was also nominated for a LUCIE Award, honouring the greatest achievements in photography, in 2013 and 2014. In 2014 she co-founded the online fashion magazine “maven46”.
BLOW Photo was created to promote and support photography through publications, talks, workshops, exhibitions and education events. Over the years BLOW Photo have been discovering and sharing fine art photography in our BLOW Photo Magazine publication. After publishing 16 issues, exhibiting Irish work at the European Month of Photography in Berlin, collaborating with Southeast Museum of Photography in Florida and most recently with Hamburg Triennial, BLOW Photo is moving to the next stage.
In June 2018 BLOW Photo Magazine will be launching its first residency scheme offering 3 months of studio space (at D-Light Studios) and mentoring during that period. This opportunity will be open to any lens based practitioner looking to develop a photo / video / film project.
