In Taiwanese culture, “XIANG HUO” symbolizes faith, family, and continuity.
Led by artist Lo Yen-Tze, this workshop begins with the cultural imagery of temple incense and family lineage, inviting participants to create their own animal-shaped incense bags. Through hands-on making, participants will learn about Taiwanese traditions while rethinking the many possible meanings of “continuity” in contemporary life.
Each participant can take home their handmade incense bag as a unique souvenir of the experience.
Accompanying event to the Kino UTOPIA奇影烏托邦 exhibition.
