Fundraising brunch and investigative photography meeting – Otwarte Klatki Association and Azyl Psubratki Foundation (PL)
Have you ever pondered upon the beautiful gardens of Biedermann’s Palace and thought: How I’d love to sit here on the first Sunday of Fotofestiwal 2026, eat some delicious vegan food, hear about pro-animal investigative photography, and support animal rights organizations? Luckily, we’re one step ahead of you, as we’ve prepared an event on just such a topic!
We invite you to the first of two fundraising brunches, where Bogna Wiltowska, an activist with the Otwarte Klatki/Open Cages Association and the Psubratki Foundation, will share her experiences, expertise, and resources on animal-focused investigative photography. Before we begin, however, we’d like to encourage you to join us for the brunch, where you can grab a delicious vegan treat and learn how you can directly support those who work for animal welfare every day.

The meeting may contain graphic materials. Viewer discretion is advised.
[There will be a short presentation on the foundation’s work in Polish during the event]

» GET TO KNOW THE OTWARTE KLATKI/OPEN CAGES ASSOCIATION AND THE GUEST SPEAKER «
Otwarte Klatki/Open Cages association is a non-governmental organisation that helps animals, driven by empathy, though their guiding principles are pragmatism and a focus on effectiveness. It is not enough simply to believe in the right ideas. What matters is whether we succeed in achieving our intended goals.
The association focus on providing help where it is most needed. To help as many animals as possible – every one of them deserves a dignified life. For this reason, they carry out activities aimed at changing the fate of animals bred and killed on farms. And focus on systemic change, in order to help animals in the long term.
Bogna Wiltowska – photojournalist, We Animals scholarship holder of Animal Photojournalism Fellowship, and a long-time animal rights activist. She currently coordinates investigative activities at Anima International, an international coalition of organizations that includes Otwarte Klatki. She initiated and implemented high-profile investigations exposing the realities of factory farms and slaughterhouses in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe, and Central and Southeast Asia. She runs an animal sanctuary where she cares for, among others, foxes rescued from fur farms. Despite witnessing the immense suffering firsthand, she still believes in a better world for animals.
