The exhibition DADA ZOO focuses on the figure of the animal. It combines photographs from the artist’s family archives, public domain resources, works created over the years, and his most recent projects.

The animal motif recurs in them as a theme, an object, and a sign. Dada is enough because Poziomka is Hell. The Eye of the Dolphin watches.

Organiser of exhibition: The City Art Gallery in Łódź – Chimera Gallery

Partners of the exhibition: Szczecin Art Academy and Viva Archiva!

Images from the artist and from the following archives:

Igor Omulecki (born 1973, Łódź) – a visual artist, photographer, and educator based in Warsaw, associated with the Academy of Art in Szczecin. The primary medium of his work is photography, approached broadly—ranging from classical techniques and the materiality of the medium to post-photography and the use of artificial intelligence. He describes his practice as meta-photographic: he explores various aspects of the photographic image, its status, forms, and transformations. For years, his work focused on visual perception and visual thinking, while in recent years he has also explored the sculptural aspects of photography and archival research. He creates eclectic, hybrid projects, combining formal, conceptual, and experimental approaches. His work has been exhibited at venues such as the Barbican in London, Matadero in Madrid, and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw.
