Augustin Rebetez, Vitamin.
If Augustin needs a table or a chair, he builds it himself, and the result is visibly cobbled together and riddled with splinters. The same goes for his art, which he stages and stretches endlessly like a dark, magical paste bristling with prickly spikes.
With his heart between his teeth and backed by a solid team, this is how the “total artist” conquers the world. More interested in a rubbish dump than a museum, Augustin’s gently enraged art cherishes the hope of an underground uprising and transgenic anarchy in the making.
Here in Lodz, people will appreciate the famous “very charming cats” of the Swiss artist, alongside crazy videos, epileptic animations, photographs and objects or drawings in a very unique and intense set-up, just under the roof of Biedermann Palace – the main festival location.
Not to be missed if you need to be shaken a bit.
