Jason Fulford, Picture summer on kodak film.
Jason Fulford is an artist whose exhibition you will see at the YMCA swimming pool. At the invitation of the festival, Jason selected over 10 books of which he is the author or editor. The titular stack refers to the artist’s working method, where his camera accompanies him on every journey, and subsequent books are the result of his editorial genius. Fulford skillfully combines archival photographs, short texts, and his own photographs, constructing engaging narratives such as Mushroom Collector, The Heart is a Sandwich, and Hotel Oracle. The selection also includes books such as This Equals That – a game of connecting images created with the youngest readers in mind, and The Photographer’s Playbook – a series of short tasks for photographers proposed by personalities from the world of photography.
