Dancing Your Dream Awake is a result of the 20 years of Anita Andrzejewska’s work as a photographer. As she travelled across Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America and learned about native traditions, various religious traditions and folk customs, she searched in them universal values shared by all people.

Do we search, wander and dream in similar ways, regardless of where we live?

In her work, Anita Andrzejewska explores the great archetypes of our cultures. And as she does it in a deeply humanistic and truly unwavering manner, we, the audience, feel invited to look at the world from a broader perspective, beyond the boundaries of place and time.
