Curator’s guided tour of the exhibition: There’s More To Life Than Work
As part of the programme accompanying the exhibition “Man does not live by work alone”, a curator tour will take place, devoted to how the inhabitants of Łódź spent their time in the 20th century.
During the meeting, the curator of the exhibition will introduce the historical context of the presented objects, talk about the process of creating the exhibition and present selected exhibits. This is an opportunity to deepen knowledge of the everyday life of Łódź residents.
At the exhibition Man Doesn’t Live by Work Alone, the first axis of the story is marked by photographs related to work in Łódź – not only in textile factories, which are associated with the city, but also in kitchens, pharmacies, sewers, hospitals, offices and construction sites. The second axis consists of private photographs – neither as banal nor as innocent as they might seem at first glance.
