Music events at Fotofestiwal

This year’s music program will open with NURI, who takes his African roots far into the future. On saturday, we offer an all-night trip to RAVEKJAVÍK. An at the very end of the festival marathon – Zaumne hypnotic set. The music program is announced.

Here is the program of Fotofestiwal music events. A full list of other accompanying events is coming soon. For more information, visit the Events tab.

12.06, 9:00pm  Opening of the Festival: NURI (TN) and BASSA NOVA (PL) / Art_Inkubator

Floating on futuristic, electronic productions Nuri grows his African roots far into the future. A future where progressive, polyrhythmic house-grooves are then the soundtrack of a more cohesive world. In a hypnotizing span between organic, hand played percussion and spacy electronic soundscapes Nuri connects an ocean of musical traditions. Immersed in a ritual understanding of the concert and the party, the audience can look forward to a journey from crisp north African beats to heavy jungle grooves and further into vivid folk singing spanning Africa to Asia.

Pincoya, Mloda dospania and Rábano picante have been igniting hot summer nights over the past year — especially at Uczulenie — after coming together during Slot Art Festival 2023. In recent months, they’ve been packing dancefloors at Uczulenie, K-Bar, and Elementy. Their sets fuse club bass with dancehall, reggaeton, dembow, neoperreo, kuduro, amapiano, baile funk, afro-house, and Caribbean sounds. This Wrocław-based trio of friendly, music-loving enthusiasts visited us in May — and with their very first(!) mix, they brought back the heat of that steamy night. If it’s dancehall, it’s Spice. If it’s reggaeton, it’s Ms Nina. If it’s coffee, it’s drip. If it’s drop (it low), it’s @bassanova__.

13.06, 11:00pm  Niebostan Night: DJ Ulala (PL) and DJ Jerem (PL)

After the slideshows in the Old Market, we invite you to join us at Niebostan.

DJ Ulala – A DJ who loves blending the classics with the contemporary. Drawing strong inspiration from the ’70s and ’80s, her sets fuse elements of soul, funk, disco, rap, afro, and house — creating a feel-good energy that gets people dancing. Ulala is also a member of the Bydgoszcz-based crew Whatda Funk!?

Dj Jerem – He has never committed to a single music genre. His distinctive, eclectic style feels more like a carefully curated selection than a genre-defined performance. A lover of funk, though he doesn’t identify with the label funky. A true connoisseur of quality rap.

14.06, 11:00pm  RAVEKJAVIK ZEN

In 2025, Ravekjavík reclaims the post-industrial space to merge once again music and art. Under the theme ZEN, the present 9th edition sets the tone: peace is not silence, but poise. The festival is transforming the former cotton warehouses at 52 Niciarniana Street into a cathedral of light, sound, and movement. Under one roof: artists from Iceland to Colombia, Germany to China, Poland to the wider world. Expect a symphony of global bass: UK bass, techno, drum & bass, dub, and avant-garde electronic fusions. For the first time, the Far East is powerfully represented, with acts that merge ancient traditions with futuristic frequencies.

21.06, 10:00pm  Afterparty: Disko Zakvas (PL) / Willa

It’s the last Saturday of the festival, so it’s time to pull an ace out of our sleeve. Disko Zakvas – a unique DJ collective made up of curators, producers and specialists of all sorts of cultural events. Their entry behind the DJ was only a matter of time, and once they entered, they couldn’t leave. As befits the age of 30+ and representatives of their cognitive bubble, they are drawn towards world music, 80’s and conservative techno. They are characterized by their colorful outfits and the fact that they are still discovering new functions of the buttons on the DJ table. This makes their parties even more unpredictable, and the music carries the crowd into the morning.

22.06, 7:30pm  Closing concert: Zaumne (PL) / Art_Inkubator

After ten long and intense festival days, it’s time to relax. We bid you farewell with contemplative hypnotic tones that are best absorbed in a darkened room. Zaumne is a Polish sound artist, researcher of human moods, atmospheres, internet culture and its sound content. His creative practice relies on intuition and moving beyond the rational. His compositions incorporate carefully processed vocal samples and field recordings, often alongside tickling sounds which trigger the ASMR phenomenon. Personal experiences, materiality, intimacy, paranormal sensations and dreams are some of the topics explored on his albums released in the past few years, in collaboration with labels like sferic, Mondoj, or Warm Winters Ltd.

See you on the dance floor!
