Exhibition like a playground – “Let’s Play Photobooks” by Fotofestiwal and Kids❤️Photography

Is it an exhibition or a playground? The answer will be sought by children and the young at heart at the next edition of Fotofestiwal Kids Program.

The success of last year’s exhibition for children “Photography is Everywhere” has exceeded our wildest expectations. The exhibition has already visited Opole, now you can see it in Warsaw’s History Meeting House, and we are preparing another event for younger viewers in Lodz, Poland, during these travels.

It will be an event co-created with the international platform Kids❤️Photography. This time we will take a look at photography books at an exhibition “Let’s play with books”.

At this “playground for photobooks,” you can find out how an image transforms into a sweet book by Jan von Holleben. You might even step into the role of an editor, arranging the sequence of photos for Martin Parr’s new book. Or perhaps you’d prefer to be an artist, creating your own work inspired by the many collage-based books on display. If you like, you can also meet the young dog Dashenka and – literally – hide away in one of the world’s most beloved photobooks of all time. And if you’re up for a game, why not start with a round of Memory by Gabriele Lorenzer? Either way – come by and play with us!

The exhibition is primarily aimed at children aged 5 to 12, but all Fotofestiwal participants are equally welcome.
