We invite you now to this unique event and a meeting with the artist and curator of the exhibition, Daniel Muzyczuk.

“Sometimes you write a novel and sometimes you create a collection of short stories” – that’s how the artist describes the exhibition. The monumental and multifaceted compositions, which are well-known from the artist’s previous projects, have been replaced with fragments suspended between the decisive moment and the recording of an extremely rare event. We can recognise some of them as refugees from earlier works, which suggests the existence of alternative stories. They are also a sort of a narrative experiment. Nine previously unshown works will enter into dialogue with each other.

Zbigniew Libera’s exhibition at Galeria Wschodnia art gallery marks the artist’s return to Łódź – a city with which his work has been associated since his participation in the artistic group Kultura Zrzuty (Chip-in Culture). The venue is also an important aspect of this return – Galeria Wschodnia is, after all, a legendary site of the independent gallery movement and the city’s last operating artist-run gallery established in the 1980s. The exhibition will be open to the public until July 7, and artist talk will take place in Art_Inkubator on June 17th.

We encourage you to go through our website and full event program that is available online.

ph.
