Kim Knoppers

is an arthistorian (University of Amsterdam) and curator at Foam. Since 2011, she has worked on solo exhibitions by Melanie Bonajo, Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin, Anne de Vries, JH Engström and Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs and group exhibitions like RE-Search: Alumni Rijksakademie, Collaborate: On Artists’ Collectives and Back to the Future. The 19th century in the 21st Century. She is is interested in a wide range of photography: from conceptual documentary photography to artists working with documentary strategies, and from archival material to photography as a research tool. She is also interested in artists’collectives and DIY strategies. Kim is the founder of Artists’ Recipes, which explores the intersection of art and food. She contributes regularly to Foam Magazine and enjoys writing for catalogues. lives and works in Amsterdam.
