Tree Hugger is a light installation designed by Asia Jackowska and Dann van Hasselt, who worked together on the art project for the first time. Asia Jackowska graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland while Dann van Hasselt is a creative programmer specializing in writing software for the interactive installations. Three Hugger embodies the human relation with nature. The project materializes the trees’ response to the hugs they receive and thus forges a more genuine connection between people and the world of nature.
