There are places in Lodz where you cannot walk through without removing the camera from the bag. The photogenic city is usually perceived through its ugliness. Of course, ugliness is artistically attractive, but it is not the main nature of Lodz. Lodz is not trivial, Lodz is different, it has always been. It is its uniqueness that attracts sensitive people, those who feel and see more than others. Students of the Film Art Organization Department looked through the camera lens at the city with tenderness. (Prof. Izabela Łapińska)

Exhibition of photographs took by students of Film Art Organization Department of PWSFTviT in Lodz was realized under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Izabela Łapińska. It is a photographic “weaving” of stories about the city of Lodz, in the past, during transformation, and in the present. The metaphorically understood activity of “weaving photos” is the result of an attentive, modern walk around the city, and also a memory of its history.
