Let us invite you to the meeting with a great artist: MATHIEU ASSELIN, who presents the exhibition MONSANTO®: A PHOTOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION. The meeting will take place on Saturday (30.06) at 4:30 pm in Art Inkubator (the Fotofestiwal Centre).
MONSTANTO®: PHOTOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION was nominated and awarded many times. Mathieu Asselin received, among others, Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Award, Dummy Book Award Kassel 2016, award Luma Recontres Dummy Award 2016 or the nomination of the prestigious Prix Elysee.
In 2012, he started working on an original reportage about Monsanto® (currently Bayer), an international group specializing in biotechnology. As a result of an intensive 5-year investigation, he worked out the company’s strategy and history, starting from its operations in the USA, ending with the catastrophic consequences of its presence on the state of the environment in the Midwest. The result of this investigation is a shocking photographic book and exhibition, shown at such established photographic festivals as Les Rencontres d’Arles in France.
The meeting with the artist will take place on Saturday, 30.06 at 4:30 pm in the Art Inkubator, in the theater hall, building C, on the ground floor.
The exhibition is located in the Art Incubator, building B, on the first floor.
