Konrad Kuzyszyn, Postnature

I am interested in the contact of the world considered natural (tame) and non-natural. The boundaries between these concepts and their incarnations create the tension that occupies me. The POSTNATURE project is a collection of objects and images relating to the realm of human fulfillment in the material being. Only art gives meaning to the production of off-specimens, non-standardized in demand, seemingly detached from what seems to us to be interpreted as natural.

Konrad Kuzyszyn

Born in 1961 in Bialystok. In 1985-90 he studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Diploma at the Wyerpłodrukku Laboratory A. Bartczak, Laboratory of Metal Techniques L. Rózga and Studio of Photography I. Pierzgalski obtained in 1990. Since 1994 he has been working as an assistant and since 2001 as the head of the Studio of Photography and Video Image at the Academy of Fine Arts On. Strzemiński in Lodz. He received the first degree qualification in 1998 and the second degree qualification in 2002 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. In 2001-2011 he created and managed the Multimedia Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2007-2012 he managed the Digital Creation Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Currently, he is the Head of the 5 Photography Studio at the University of Arts in Poznań. From 2007, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts. From 2012, full professor. He deals with photography, video film and hybrids of contemporary visual media. He lives and works in Poznań.
