Joint exhibition of Iwona Sulikowska and Witold Gretzyngier confronts two worlds from the beginning of the 21st century.
Joint exhibition of Iwona Sulikowska and Witold Gretzyngier confronts two worlds from the beginning of the 21st century: Poland Class B, represented by sights from Nowa Sól and also places in Washington State, northwest corner of the USA. In both cases these are collateral, provincial lands, existing at the side, far from big centers and events, quiet, peaceful and somewhat boring.
On the other hand, we can view pictures selected and simultaneously recorded by two young, adolescent people filtered by their sensibility, memories and family life. It’s a subjective vision, marked by the memories of certain events, places and people that cease to be important for the viewer. What remains is the subjective record of two distant places, although related by some similarities.
