Born in Barcelona in 1954, now lives in Salamanca (Spain). From 1977 to 1983 she worked as the director of Galería Fotomonía (Barcelona) and between 1982-1983 she was a member of the organizing team of the Primavera Fotógrafica Festival (Barcelona). Since 1983 Cristina Zelich works as a freelance curator.
In 1994, she moved to Salamanca, where she collaborated in the exhibitions and editorial activities of the Photographic Centre of Salamanca University until 2001, when she became part of the team responsible for the production and coordination of exhibitions and catalogues for the Consorcio Salamanca 2002 European Capital of Culture, for which she continued to work until 2003 at the Centre d’Art de Salamanca.

La evolución de la mujer española en los fondos fotográficos de la Agencia EFE, Consejo de Europa, Bruselas, 2010 (travelling exhibition).
She is also the author of The White Book of Catalan Photographic Heritage, published by the Catalan Government (Department of Culture, Barcelona, 1996).
