Grand Prix, individual exhibitions presented in the unique, postindustrial halls of Łódź Art Center, is one of the most important parts of Fotofestiwal. Each year, from the projects submitted by artists from all around the world, we choose 10-12 exhibitions which have not been presented in Poland yet. This year, we will be waiting for your applications until the end of October.

GRAND PRIX FOTOFESTIWAL

The period between September to November is for us the time of intensive work on the most important part of Fotofestiwal – the Grand Prix programme. Every year, the call for artists, addressed to photographers and curators, results in hundreds of applications. Last year, there was a record number of applications – 600! The programme is open and there are no restrictions concerning the subject, which allows for presentations of various works and personalities.

Each year, from the submitted projects, we choose 10-12 exhibitions which will be presented during Fotofestiwal. In May, during the main festival weekend, the curator jury will choose the project which will be awarded the Grand Prix Fotofestiwal statue and a special prize.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

All photographers are invited to send us their applications. There are no restrictions concerning the subject, technique or number of photographs. However, we kindly ask you not to send single photographs. We would like to receive complete projects, which have already been finished or are in the process of being finished. Detailed conditions of participation are included in the application form.
